WHAT IS SUMMA?

The Summa program is a BSD program for grades 6-8th that provides a curriculum for academically gifted TAG students.

HOW DO YOU GET TAG IDENTIFIED?

To become identified as TAG, one must receive a score of the 90th percentile or higher on the CoGAT screener exam. Students can pass the screener exam in either 3rd or 5th grade(4th grade only when screener exam has not been taken by the student in 3rd). 

WHAT ARE THE QUALIFYING SCORES TO GET INTO THE SUMMA PROGRAM? 

One must be TAG identified AND score in the 99th percentile on the CoGAT main exam, or be identified as TAG AND score in the 99th percentile in one subject of OSAS(ELA or MATH) AND in the 97th percentile or above on the other respective subject, or score in the 97th percentile or above in the CoGAT main exam instead of the other respective subject.

WHAT IS TAG?

TAG stands for talented and gifted and by the Oregon Law is stated as a needs-based instructional programming in which a student needs to be identified to receive services.

HOW DO YOU GET QUALIFIED TO GET INTO SUMMA?

To become fully qualified to get into the SUMMA program, one must be already TAG identified by the school(CoGAT screener) and score qualifying marks for either OSAS (Oregon state testing) and/or the CoGAT main exam. 

WHY THE SUMMA PROGRAM?

The Summa program provides a challenging curriculum that is destined to help your child succeed in life and thrive in both school and beyond school related activities. The Summa program can help your child gain critical thinking skills that will help them in the long run. The Summa program can allow students to take more advanced math courses in Highschool that can allow them to take collage level courses and gain credit for collages and earn weighted GPAS. STAMP is fully determined to unlock a student's full potential and give them the skills they need to become apart of the Summa program.
